Centred or tiled
A single centred watermark is clean and readable — good for “DRAFT” or “SAMPLE”. A tiled watermark repeats across the page, which makes it much harder to crop out — better for protecting photos, certificates or previews you share before payment.
Limitations
We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:
- Text watermarks use Latin characters; use an image watermark for other scripts.
- A watermark discourages copying but can be removed by determined users with PDF editing software.

Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files are never sent to FreeToolsDaily or anyone else.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. Enter page ranges such as 1-3, 5 in the Pages field.
What opacity should I use?
15–30% keeps the document readable while making the watermark clearly visible.
