How it works
How to use the PDF to JPG tool
- 1
Upload a PDF
Thumbnails of every page appear once the file is loaded.
- 2
Choose pages and quality
Convert all pages or click to pick some. Select a resolution: Medium (150 DPI) suits most uses.
- 3
Download a single JPG, each page individually, or all pages together as a ZIP.
Choosing the right resolution
Resolution is measured in DPI (dots per inch). Low (96 DPI) matches a standard screen and gives small files for previews. Medium (150 DPI) is sharp on phones and laptops and is the best default. High (300 DPI) is print quality and suits documents you'll zoom into or print, but files are about four times larger.
Why JPG?
JPG is accepted everywhere: email, chat apps, social networks and websites. It compresses scanned pages and photos very well. For pages that are mostly sharp text and line art, use a higher quality setting to avoid soft edges.
Limitations
We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:
- JPG doesn't support transparency, so pages are rendered on a white background.
- Very long PDFs at 300 DPI can use a lot of memory; convert in smaller batches if your browser slows down.
- Password-protected PDFs can't be opened.
