Better-looking GIFs
GIFs can only use 256 colours per frame. FreeToolsDaily builds an optimised colour palette from your actual clip (two-pass palettegen), which gives far cleaner results than a generic palette — especially for skin tones and gradients.
Limitations
We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:
- Clips are limited to 30 seconds — GIFs grow very large quickly.
- No sound (GIF doesn’t support audio).

Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files are never sent to FreeToolsDaily or anyone else.
Why does the first conversion take longer?
The first time, your browser downloads the FFmpeg engine (about 30 MB). It’s cached afterwards, so later conversions start almost instantly.
How do I make a smaller GIF?
Use 320 px width, 10 fps and a shorter clip.
