Writing styles

Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence, which is ideal for fixing text typed with Caps Lock on. Title Case follows common style-guide rules, keeping short words like “of”, “the” and “and” lowercase unless they start or end the title. Capitalized Case capitalises every word.

Developer styles

camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and dot.case are used for variables, file names, URLs and configuration keys. FreeToolsDaily splits words intelligently, so “myXMLParser” correctly becomes “my_xml_parser”, and each line is converted separately, which is handy for lists of names.

Limitations

We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:

  • Title Case can't know proper nouns or brand names (like iPhone); review titles before publishing.
  • Sentence case doesn't recognise abbreviations, so text after “e.g.” may get capitalised.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is my text saved or sent anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser as you type. Your text is never uploaded, stored or logged.

How do I fix text typed in caps lock?

Paste it and choose Sentence case. It lowercases everything and recapitalises the start of each sentence.

What's the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?

Title Case keeps minor words (a, of, the, and…) lowercase; Capitalized Case capitalises every word.
