How it works

How to use the Audio Cutter tool

  1. 1

    Add audio

MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC or AAC.

  2. 2

    Mark the part to keep

Play the file and use “Start = playhead” and “End = playhead”, or type times.

  3. 3

    Cut and download

Optionally add fades, then save as MP3.

Making a ringtone

Pick a 20–30 second section, add a fade in and out for a smooth loop, and download. On Android, set it in Settings › Sound. On iPhone, ringtones must be imported via GarageBand or Finder as .m4r.

Limitations

We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:

  • Output is MP3 at 192 kbps.
  • 300 MB per file.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files are never sent to FreeToolsDaily or anyone else.

Why does the first conversion take longer?

The first time, your browser downloads the FFmpeg engine (about 30 MB). It’s cached afterwards, so later conversions start almost instantly.

What time format should I type?

Minutes and seconds like 1:23 or 1:23.5, or hours like 1:02:03.
