How to use the UPI QR Code Generator tool

    Type your UPI ID (like shopname@okhdfcbank) and the name customers should see.

    Leave it empty so customers enter any amount, or set a fixed amount for a product, fee or invoice.

How a UPI QR code works

The QR code contains a standard UPI payment link with your UPI ID, name and optional amount. When a customer scans it with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay or any bank's UPI app, the app opens a payment screen already filled in with your details. The money goes straight into your bank account, and FreeToolsDaily is never involved in the payment.

Free, permanent and private

The code is a static QR, so it never expires and there are no fees, sign-ups or monthly charges. It is created entirely in your browser: your UPI ID and name are not uploaded or stored anywhere.

Tips for shops and businesses

Print the QR at least 4 cm wide, with your shop name above it, and keep the default black-on-white colours for the fastest scanning. Scan the printed code once with your own UPI app to check your name and UPI ID before putting it up.

Limitations

We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:

  • This creates a payment QR code only. It doesn't confirm payments or send you notifications; check your UPI or bank app for received money.
  • Some business accounts get a merchant QR from their bank with extra features like soundbox alerts. This tool makes a standard personal or business UPI QR.

Is this UPI QR code generator free?

Yes, completely free, with no sign-up and no limits. The QR code never expires and there are no transaction fees from FreeToolsDaily.

Which apps can scan it?

Every UPI app, including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, WhatsApp Pay and bank apps.

Where do I find my UPI ID?

Open your UPI app and tap your profile or QR icon. Your UPI ID looks like name@okaxis, 98xxxxxx10@ybl or shop@paytm.

Can I set a fixed amount?

Yes. Enter an amount and the customer's app shows it pre-filled. Leave it empty to let customers type any amount.

Is it safe?

Yes. The QR code only contains your UPI ID, name and optional amount, the same details you share when someone pays you. Nothing is uploaded, and nobody can withdraw money using it.
