Words or lines?
Word mode highlights exactly which words changed inside sentences — ideal for essays and contracts. Line mode treats each line as a unit — best for code, CSVs and lists.
Limitations
We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:
- Very large texts (hundreds of thousands of words) can take a moment to compare.

Is my data sent anywhere?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded, stored or logged.
Can I ignore capitalisation?
Yes — switch on “Ignore case”.
