Real AI, running on your device

FreeToolsDaily uses U²-Net, an open-source salient-object detection model (Apache-2.0), running in your browser with WebAssembly. Your photo is never uploaded — useful for personal photos and unreleased products. The model downloads once (about 5 MB) and is then cached.

Getting the best result

Photos with one clear subject against a contrasting background work best: product shots, portraits and pets. Busy scenes, fine hair and glass or transparent objects are harder and may need touching up in an editor.

Limitations

We’d rather be upfront about what this tool can’t do yet:

  • Fine details such as hair strands may be softened.
  • Works best with a single, clearly separated subject.
  • Very large images are processed at up to 4096 px on the longest side.
